Chaophraya & Palm Sugar

'Chao Phraya' - possibly one of the most important rivers in central Thailand and translated in English as River of Kings. Back in the UK, Chaophraya is a small multi-award-winning restaurant chain. Following on from the hugely successful award winning sites in Leeds and Manchester, "Chaophraya Royal Thai Fine Dining Restaurant" and "Palm Sugar Lounge" bar at Liverpool ONE, ooze contemporary chic and sophistication.

The decor at Chaophraya is stunning, set off by the beautiful lighting, supplied by us at E2 Lighting. We've used a combination of cutting edge LED products, teamed up with beautiful, modern crystal chandeliers. Some of these chandeliers are bespoke, designed and manufactured by ourselves at our showroom in Stoke-on-Trent and our commercial lighting team at Cold Meece, near Stone, Staffordshire. We've also supported local businesses in production of some of our fittings.

Many of the lighting products we've used are readily available to the public and businesses. On the exterior, for example, we've lit up some sculptured trees with IP-Rated LED twinkle lights. Take a look up at the 1st floor balcony and you'll see some unusual exterior floor lamps that look like they should be inside!

Moving inside Palm Sugar Lounge; look right and you'll find lovely glass bowl pendants with crystal dropper detail. Turn to the left and you'll be mesmerised by the illusion of floating bubbles stretching the whole length of the bar. Above the seating areas, you'll also notice the 3 'Crystal Bombs' that have been painstakingly extended by hand to a 3-metre drop. You can purchase these in their standard size from us at the showroom. Ask us nicely and we'll extend them for your own project!

In Chaophraya the theme is very similar. The fabulous sunken seating area on the ground floor is incredibly inviting with a Crystal Bomb (in its standard size drop this time!) over each dining table. If you're sat around one of these you'll notice sleek amber LED marker lights dotted all around.

Fabulous lighting continues in the kitchen. In here you'll find delightful crystal recessed downlights along with more 'floating' glass pendants. This idea flows nicely up the stairs to the main restaurant seating area where you'll encounter a large fish tank as you get to the top. Above this you'll find a lovely 'waterfall' chandelier which, like some of the Palm Sugar lighting, was crafted by hand in our lighting showroom and assembled on-site by our fabulous team.

In the main restaurant area there are more waterfall-style chandeliers which we had custom-made for the client. These fit nicely with the river and waterfall theme across the premises and continue into the VIP dining area (visible from Palm Sugar by looking through the glass window above the bar).
